ARE YOU READY FOR A KITTEN?

If your like me and care about the welfare of animals, and can’t stand the thought of them having a less than ideal life, there are many things you must think about before getting a kitten.

Being a Cat owner is a huge responsibility. Look at it being just as much responsibility as if you had a human baby.  Cats need healthy food, car seats, beds, toys, their own toilets (litter and litter boxes) Dr visits, vaccinations, medicine (even if not sick they need to be wormed and flea and mite meds) a stable home and lots of attention.  If you are thinking of getting a kitten but do not have the means to provide all the things mentioned above, do not get a kitten in the hopes “it will all work out.” You risk getting attached to the kitten and vice versa only to have to find another home for it which will hurt them and cause stress. This is not negative thinking it is about being a responsible pet owner.

If you have a home to bring them to and a steady income and can go out and buy nutritious cat food, cat dishes, a litter box, litter and some toys  plus have the money for a vet exam worming medications and vaccinations then congratulations! You are ready and able to get a kitten!

However, getting a kitten at a time when you are not able to provide everything it needs to thrive both physically and mentally is either selfish, immature or just plain ignorant.

Think about the welfare of a living, breathing and feeling creature.

WHY YOU SHOULDN’T BRING CATS AND KITTENS ON JOY RIDES

First of all cats are not dogs.

Cats are creatures of habit. Their love of routine is part of their ancestry.

Cats are creatures of habit. Their love of routine is part of their ancestry. Today’s domestic cat is believed to have descended from a small, Middle Eastern wildcat, Felis silvestris lybica, a solitary and highly territorial feline for whom daily routines — like marking territory and burying feces — are a matter of survival.

Cats stress when taken for rides in cars is an instinctual response to a change in its daily rituals. Cats, like many people, get stressed in unfamiliar or uncomfortable situations.

Furthermore, taking kitty off her home turf might not seem like such a big deal to you, a globe-trotting human, but for a creature that instinctually spends a good deal of time maintaining its territorial boundaries, crossing into the outside world can be scary. A stable home life with a daily routine is essential for the health of kittens and cats.

IF YOU WANT A PET TO TRAVEL WITH YOU IN A CAR, GET A DOG!

Cats don’t talk. You may not know when they are hurting or stressed out. Taking cats and kittens cause enormous stress to these delicate creatures. It may seem ok to you to grab your kitty to run to the store, but your causing harm to their delicate psyche.

Some cats suffer from motion sickness, others may urinate or deficate due to stress.

The only two instances you should take your cat or kitten for a car ride is if you are moving to a new home or taking them to a Veterinarian.

If you are moving, place them in a quiet room until you have finished emptying the house. If your not moving far, it would be the least stressful to bring cats to the new home once most or all of furniture and boxes are there so they have familiar smells in the new place.  If you are moving long distance obviously you cannot do this. Either way, when you get to the new place, put your cat with food, litter box and toys in a secluded room for at least the first 24-48 hours. Leave the carrier with them so they have a safe place to hide if they wish.

NEVER TRAVEL WITH CATS OR KITTENS LOOSE IN THE CAR OR iN AN UNRESTRAINED CAT CARRIER!

Cats and kittens can be thrown around in cars if you make a sudden turn or stop. If you are struck by another vehicle cats can be thrown against a window, and there have been many accidents when cats have actually been thrown right through the glass. You cannot secure a cat by holding them if you are struck by another vehicle. Cats have been severely injured and killed in automobiles when deployed airbags crushed them.

It is not enough to just put them in a cat carrier. You must use one that is travel approved and can be restrained with a seatbelt.

Do not assume that just because a cat is a kitten they are not stressed out in the car or “don’t know any better.” They still need to stay in one familiar place which does not include a moving vehicle

LIFE AFTER DEATH

My mom and real Dad never even lived together. She caught him cheating when she was a few months pregnant with me and he was never around.

She met her Soulmate when I was 3. He loved me as if I was his own and I called him “Daddy Mark”. He called me “Sunshine.” They married when I was 6, (they were just 25 yrs old) but six months later he was gone. They found a tumor in the back of his neck the size of a small lemon. I remember the last time I saw him like it was yesterday. We took him to the hospital the day of surgery. He said he wanted to adopt me and my last name would be his. I said yes! He was sitting on a hospital bed when we hugged and said goodbye. I turned around to look at him one more time. I think maybe I somehow knew i wouldnt see him alive again.

The Veteran’s hospital called Mom to say surgery was a success. She went to visit him. They overdosed him on morphine. I was at the babysitters when it happened and my Mom called and asked the sitter not to tell me and if she would keep me a few days while my mom could get over the major shock before she picked me up and told me herself the news. I hated this babysitter. She had an evil Daughter my age who did terrible things like soak her retarded brothers with hoses then blame me for everything. The sitter always believed her and I would be punished and locked in a room.

A few hours after my Mom had called, we went somewhere and the sitter had her evil daughter and i ride in the back of their truck that had a canopy on it. The girl said “Your Dad is dead!” I said, “no hes not!” And she said, “YES HE IS!” I said, “NO HE IS NOT!” She said, “uh huh I heard my Mom talking to your Mom!” I said, “shut up! No
he is not!” To which she began chanting over and over in a wicked voice, “your daddy’s deh-edd your Daddys deh-edd..
I covered my my ears and put my face in a blanket and cried because I knew in my heart she was right.

One morning when I was 8 yrs old, i awoke and sat up to see him standing in my bedroom doorway as if he were alive and he said, “hiya Sunshine!” But i was so scared i pulled my covers over my head and was afraid to move a toe until my Mom woke up. He was gone of course and I ran and told her what happened. She yelled at me for doing that and making him go away, and said, “you know Daddy Mark would never hurt you and now he probably wont come back!” Well Mom maybe you shouldnt have taken a 6 yr old to her Daddys OPEN CASKET funeral and even lift her up to see him dead. I was only 8 yrs old and he had been dead a year and a half. I would think that would be a normal reaction for a child. I have forgiven My Mom for everything. She too has passed on and has proven there is life after death. That story will be in another blog.

What happened to the evil little girl? She is in prison for the rest of her life. I’ll also save that for another blog…

BELOVED PETS CAN REINCARNATE AND RETURN TO US

My beloved Cat Diamond passed away on May 21st, 2016. He was only nine months old and had been battling Feline Leukemia. It was the most heartbreaking, Soul crushing experience I have ever gone through.

Diamonds Soul entered another cats body and came and found me two days after his death. The last thing I wanted was another cat. But here I was in the middle of no where at a friends friends property. I was sitting alone crying over him when this kitten appeared and stared in my eyes right through my Soul and started licking away my tears. I took a pic of him and he totally posed for it.

My friend and I went camping for 3 days and then went back to her friends property. There he was following me everywhere. I was closing a gate because we were leaving. I closed it and felt something on my feet. He had slipped out before I shut it and was sitting on my feet looking up at me through my Soul again. Of course I brought him home! Every time I would cry over the death (which I still did daily for months) there he would come running to lick away my tears!

The 2nd day after I brought him home I found him behind the laundry room door on Diamonds blanket with a far away look. Later that day when he again was licking my tears I asked “Diamond, is that you?” He looked at me then started kneading the blanket and looked up at me to make sure I was watching. Now I know cats kneading is very common but Diamond didn’t do it until he got sick. Aten has only done it a few times since but only on my neck!

My Sons 6 month old male cat Ceasar adopted Diamond when I brought him home at 7 weeks old and gave him his daily baths. My Luna cat is a snob. Our other 6 month old Toonces also played with Diamond and they had the same parents only the mother wasnt FeLV+ with Toonces.  Boy was Ceasar confused! He knew it was Diamond but didn’t understand what he was doing in that body and playing and not sick! Ceasar watched him all day from a corner the first day. Then they all played and he got baths just like before! Usually cats hiss at a new cat but they all knew it was Diamond! I asked again a week later “Diamond is that you?” He looked at me and whapped me across the nose as if to say, “Yes! Now stop asking me that!”

Both LOVE water! Both meow at faucets and even the tub for someone to turn on the water so they (he) could play in it! Both sleep with me all night every night same position. I also take a full dropper every day because I get very sick with kidney infections when I don’t. Aten (Diamond) must remember taking it because he comes running every time I take it and if I take too long to share (because I tease) he reaches with his paw and tries to grab the dropper! He still gets it every day!

The only difference between the two is looks (Aten has an 8 month old Sister identical to Diamond!) now his name is Aten pronounced ah-tin. He weighed 11 pounds at 10 months! Now at 15 months he is 13 lbs. Big, healthy and strong and a total BRAT! too!  I’ve just entered him to be on that TV show My Cat From Hell. He is so much a brat with so much energy we just laugh! He’s really from heaven. He’s just making up for the lack of energy and the things he couldn’t do the last few months of his last life!

WHAT IS A LIGHTWORKER?

A Lightworker is anyone who devotes their life to being a bright light in the world. They understand that their actions (no matter how big or small) have the potential to raise the vibration of the planet. A Lightworker soul is awake, conscious that their presence matters and that they are part of something that is bigger than them.

A Lightworker is someone who makes a conscious decision to endeavour to answer the call of Source (light) over the call of the ego (fear).

A Lightworker is a person who consciously recognizes that they are a piece of God. They have a strong urge to help themselves and humanity. They do this intuitively and are not associated with any doctrine. Their very presence on Earth raises the vibration of humanity
